Online Singing Lessons

  • Do online lessons actually work?
  • Can you improve your voice with online learning?
  • Are you afraid you will miss out on some valuable aspects of vocal training by taking online singing lessons?

The popularity of online singing lessons and e-learning has surged in recent years. In the modern era, the go-to approach for acquiring new skills, including singing, often involves searching online resources. Numerous online singing tutorials are readily available on platforms like YouTube. Despite the abundance of free resources, many students still favor personalized, one-to-one sessions in a physical setting. This preference arises from the recognition that online singing lessons, without proper guidance, may pose risks to an untrained voice rather than providing the intended benefits.

What are the benefits of taking private online singing lessons?

  • They are more flexible than standard lessons

  • You can learn from the comfort of your own home

  • It’s easy to record online lessons and watch them back later to remind yourself of exercises and instructions as well as to hear your own voice

  • They are a superb way to keep your progress going even if you cannot attend a real-life learning setting

  • They are the safest form of learning to prevent the spread of infections and allergens, whilst still offering an individually-tailored singing lesson

Challenges of using free online resources without proper guidance

  • without suitable instructions from a vocal coach, you will not know if you are singing the exercises correctly

  • when learning with free online lessons, you will be unlikely to detect vocal issues, weak points, incorrect posture, muscle tension, inappropriate breath technique, vocal strain

  • free online singing training videos are generic and not tailored to what your voice actually requires

What to expect in your first online singing lesson?

Beginner Students

During our first singing lesson we will discuss your singing objectives. We will also talk about the music genres you like to sing. Then, we will run through some singing fundamentals and vocal exercises. These will help to get you started on the path to discovering your true singing potential.

Advanced Students

During our first singing lesson we will discuss your aims and favourite music styles. We will also assess your vocal requirements. This will help us establish the areas of your vocal development that need the most immediate attention. We will then begin working through exercises to help you accomplish your goals.
